SIR RODEN CUTLER PARK

Public BBQ

Sir Roden Cutler Park stretches along the Macquarie River in Dubbo, offering visitors a surprisingly varied riverside escape. The ninja warrior course draws families throughout the day, while exercise equipment attracts the fitness-minded. Free barbecue facilities and picnic tables sit beneath shaded areas, with wheelchair-accessible toilets positioned at the top of the hill. The park connects directly to the Tracker Riley cycleway, making it convenient for cyclists. River access allows for fishing or a quick splash on warm days, and the adjacent club and restaurant provide backup dining options. The grassed areas remain functional though maintenance standards trail behind Dubbo's central parks, a noticeable gap given the steady stream of travellers who pause here for rest breaks. Despite this, the combination of free facilities, river views, and varied activities makes it a solid spot for a few hours outdoors.
